Our team developed a customizable, e-commerce monitoring tool that tracks live inventory and price changes across the web, providing businesses with actionable insights to inform purchasing and pricing strategies. As the leader for the Product Design, I worked closely with the CEO and CTO to define the product roadmap and I was responsible for the concept and execution of the mobile and desktop designs.

The primary engineering challenge was finding a way to effectively track and analyze large amounts of data from multiple e-commerce platforms. The user experience needed to be intuitive for people to sort through the expansive data to discover opportunities and then configure monitoring alerts. Additionally, we needed to ensure that the tool was accessible for businesses of all sizes and in different verticals.

To solve these challenges, we organized the large amounts of data into channels of related goods. This allows users to easily subscribe to curated feeds containing items published on Manufacturer sites, eBay, Walmart and more. Feeds are completely customizable, allowing users to edit, delete or build their own unique views. Coupled with our bespoke algorithm that analyzed this data in real-time, we deliver updates identifying patterns and trends related to inventory and pricing directly in their feed.

We placed a strong emphasis on user experience, developing a user-friendly interface that made it easy for people to access, understand and action against the data. The customizable feeds and real-time notifications ensure businesses are always kept up to date on the latest opportunities, and one-click and automated buying options help businesses stay ahead of the market.
